eta Energieberatung was founded 1996 in Pfaffenhofen on the Ilm by Florian Ilmberger and Volkmar Schäfer, and has grown continuously since then. eta Energieberatung GmbH became a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Stadtwerke München in 2017.
